HCBS Services Increase
Home and community based services (HCBS) are a critical lifeline for more than 4 million Americans with disabilities and seniors, including 135,000 Pennsylvanians. Thanks to the work of thousands of advocates in the disability, aging, and labor communities, PA secured almost $13 billion in funding for HCBS through the American Rescue Plan. President Biden’s American Jobs Plan would invest $400 billion in HCBS. Senator Bob Casey is working with his colleagues and the White House on closing existing gaps and providing these services to every American who is eligible. He applauds President Biden and every one of his Democratic colleagues for delivering for the American people in the American Rescue Plan. See the Washington Post article here.
